Gareth Howell MRICS

Gareth is a Chartered Project Management Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience across project management, development management and complex urban regeneration.

His experience spans major mixed-use masterplans, offices, residential, leisure and specialist developments, from early feasibility and site acquisition through planning, procurement, construction and completion. In recent years he has specialised in large-scale regeneration projects, including schemes of more than £350m, often involving hybrid and EIA planning applications, complex development agreements, public realm and infrastructure, viability, funding and significant stakeholder engagement.

Gareth particularly enjoys the messy early stages of projects, where the brief is still evolving and there are planning, commercial, technical and legal issues to work through.

Having worked with developers, institutional investors, occupiers and public-sector partners, Gareth has a strong understanding of the different things that create value in a project.

Gareth lives in North London with his wife, two young children and his beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback, Basil. Away from work, he is happiest out on his mountain bike in the woods, riding bikes with the kids, playing five-a-side football, watching Arsenal and seeing live music. Basil also makes sure Gareth gets plenty of fresh air — although at his size, it is often debatable who is taking whom for the walk.

Matt Gregory

Matt is an experienced Project Manager with a background in Building Surveying and more than 15 years in the construction industry. He has worked as Project Manager, Employer’s Agent and Contract Administrator across commercial sector projects.

His experience spans major office developments and refurbishments, build-to-rent residential, healthcare, education, hotels, retail and leisure. He has delivered everything from complex listed-building refurbishments and occupied university projects to large-scale commercial developments, a major new-build hospital and residential schemes of more than 300 homes.
Matt brings a calm, practical approach to delivery and is comfortable managing projects from the detail of design and construction through to the wider programme, commercial and stakeholder issues. His building surveying background gives him a strong technical grounding, while his project management experience means he is equally focused on getting decisions made, keeping teams aligned and maintaining momentum.

Matt lives in Essex with his wife and two young children. Away from work, he is a very keen golfer, a long-suffering Spurs supporter and will happily watch almost any sport put in front of him. Much of the remainder of his spare time is devoted to the seemingly never-ending refurbishment of his own house — proof that, even for a project manager, some projects never quite reach practical completion.

Lawrence Marsh MRICS

Lawrence is a Chartered Project Manager and former Building Surveyor with extensive experience delivering complex refurbishment, fit-out and heritage projects across workplace, higher education and arts & culture.

He has led major cut-and-carve refurbishments, CAT B fit-outs, gallery and museum projects, university relocations and phased redevelopment schemes, often within listed buildings and fully occupied environments. His experience ranges from significant structural alterations and new building services through to specialist teaching spaces, theatres, galleries and high-quality workplaces.

Lawrence brings particular strength in programme management, design management, procurement, contract administration and stakeholder coordination. He is comfortable managing projects with multiple interfaces and competing priorities, and enjoys working through the detail of phasing, logistics and sequencing to find practical ways of keeping complex projects moving.

He lives in South London with his wife and daughter. Away from work, Lawrence divides his time between hockey, golf and salsa dancing. He is equally comfortable talking about sequencing as he is sequins — although fortunately only one tends to feature in project meetings.

Phil Newsham

Phil started his career as a Quantity Surveyor before moving into project management, where he has spent nearly 20 years leading major and complex projects.

His background spans commercial, education, residential, research and specialist developments, and he has worked across the full project lifecycle from early strategy and planning through design, procurement, construction and handover.
Phil is at his best when there are lots of moving parts. Calm, practical and collaborative, he enjoys bringing clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders together around a clear plan. He likes solving problems, building good relationships and creating the momentum that keeps projects moving — although his enthusiasm for a well-maintained project tracker can occasionally go a little too far.

Phil lives in Kent with his partner, young daughter and a very needy handbag-sized dog. Away from work, he is happiest having adventures in the mountains, climbing, trying new outdoor activities and, somewhat questionably, hurting himself doing parkour — surely he is getting too old for that?

When he is not finding new ways to injure himself, Phil enjoys spending time with his family and making increasingly elaborate excuses for Manchester United.
